One organization that attempted to bring together the discipline of procurement with strategic relationship management is the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP - www.strategic-alliances.org). It has gone through some significant changes since 1999 (when I first met them while working in Silicon Valley). I'd love 360 Vendor Management's view on whether ASAP provides specific value add in the context of outsourcing relationship management. Best, Mark Great poll.
